After River Favorites
If you are looking for a laid back meal and drinks after your trip down the river, here are some of the favorite local bar and grills:
Indian Lake Restaurant, Tavern & Liquor Store
This restaurant is only a couple steps down the road from our main base. They offer everything from burgers and Fish N' Chips to Cajun Grilled Pork Chops and Thai Chicken Satay. They also have a full bar and liquor store, so you can stay and enjoy a drink or get something to enjoy later on.
Marty's Chili Nights
If you are looking to spice things up a bit, this is the place for you. With authentic Mexican Cuisine and drinks, as well as traditional music, you can expect to have a great time. From the Margaritas and Mexican Sodas to the 50 year old Blue Ribbon recipe Adirondack Chile, they can promise you won't leave hungry, or thirsty for that matter.
Bear Trap Inn
With homemade chili and soups, as well as steaks and burgers, they have enough choices to make everyone happy. To get there just take a right when you leave our office and head about a mile down the road, where you'll find this little blue restaurant on your left.
If you prefer something a bit more formal, there are several restaurants in town or nearby that pride themselves on providing you with an unforgettable Adirondack dining experience.
Located in Blue Mt. Lake (about a 12 minute drive), this restaurant offers 4 course meals in their beautiful Dining Lodge which looks out on the lake. Though on any given night there are only 3 entre choices, this will not leave you wanting. A sample meal might include Black Bean Soup, Spinach Salad, your choice between Cajun Shrimp, Chicken Boursin, and Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms, and Baked Chocolate Walnut Fudge. They also offer a full cooked-to-order breakfast.
Raquette Lake Navigation Co., Inc
Take a ride on the W.W. Durant and enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning scenery around Raquette Lake. You can choose from brunch, lunch, or dinner which all offer a different selection of items. No matter which you choose, you can expect both hot and cold entrée items, salad, fruit, bread, and dessert.
If you are looking for a great home-style meal like chicken and biscuits or a turkey dinner after your trip down the river, Hemlock Hall is the place for you. Located on Blue Mt. Lake, this restaurant not only offers spectacular views of the lake, but also the great company of others touring the area.
